19th century Constructed with a straight toprail supported on short back posts, the horizontal arms supported by two front posts, the posts all connected by carved beaded aprons with scrolled decoration above low railings supported on struts, all extending above the frame of the hard mat seat on three sides, the legs joined by humpback stretchers and struts with stretchers above plain aprons at the sides and front, and a simple apron above a stretchers at the rear, some joints reinforced with metal hardware. 33 1/2 x 22 5/8 x 17 1/4in (85 x 57.3 x 43.7cm)
