Dutch School, 17th Century Five Small Portraits, Sitters in White Ruffs and Caps Unsigned, two with annotations of the sitters' ages and with faint dates. Three oval oil on copper, two on rectangular panel, sizes to 6 3/4 x 5 1/8 in. (17.0 x 13.0 cm), one framed, four unframed. Condition: Minor abrasions and surface imperfections. Provenance: The estate of George Way. Estimate $700-900 One dated "1609" and annotated with the age of the sitter "XXXXVIIII" at the top. A second annoted on the reverse with the age of the sitter "Aetatis suae 22" and with a faint date beneath. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
