A Greek marble draped female figure
Hellenistic Period, circa 2nd Century B.C.
Standing with her weight on her right leg, the left bent, wearing a long, finely pleated chiton, knotted beneath her proper right shoulder, a himation draped over her left shoulder, the right foot emerging beneath the folds of drapery, her right hand preserved at her hip, her face with almond-shaped eyes and full mouth, her hair fashioned in rows of stylized corkscrew curls encircling her head and framing her face, secured by a fillet, the back roughly worked, 37cm high注脚Provenance:
