PROVENANCE: From the estate of Harold & Mousser, of York, Pennsylvania, an entrepeneurs, private collections, acquired pre-1970's from Fluhrer's Galleries, York, PA. Dimensions: Height: 3-1/8" Diameter: 7-1/8" Chinese Qing Dynasty Qianlong Emperor Reign period ruby red porcelain bowl. Deep curvature flaring upward to form the rim, with a slightly raised footing. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in ruby red underglaze base color which contrast against the Wu Cai design color. The exterior delicately in medallion decorated with small haven above salubrious tree and rock hill, among scrolling ruyi, interlocking tendril and flowers blooms in gilt fine color on ruby red base color. The color is balanced, elegant and exquisite. The porcelain displays a subtle sheen as the light ricochets across the finely glazed exterior. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned.
