Dimensions: 4-1/2" L x 2-7/8" W Chinese Qing Dynasty gilt bronze lidded box. The gilt bronze carved in oval bulbous, sturdily potted in a compressed globular form, with domed lid, Inner flange circumscribed around the dome lip allows for a perfect fitment of the covering, raised with small flat foot base. The upper dome lid carved with detail of abundant leaves interspersed with scrolling tendril. The bronze is bright and lustrous as the light is easily reflected from the well-polished surfaces. The plaques split in the middle section, and fitted perfectly upon each other. There is a light grey patina noted in several creases. Mark on under base, a horizontal six engraved script characters reign mark, Qianlong Reign Period of Great Qing Dynasty. See More
