Dimensions: 2-1/2" H x 6-1/8" Dia. Chinese Ming Dynasty Period, Chenghua gourd abundant bowl. The porcelain potted with a shallow body, slight deep, broad cavetto, with a straight opening lip, raised on a small round, with concave footing. The exterior decorated with hand-painting in cobalt under glazed blue, depicted of ornament with abundant ripe gourd tree, interspersed with foliage, scrolling tendril and enclosed with double fine blue rings lines on the upper mouth rim, lowers belly and the foot base rim. The porcelain displays a subtle sheen as the light ricochets across the finely glazed exterior. Mark on under base, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark, enclosed within double fine blue rings lines, ChengHua Reign Period of Great Ming Dynasty. See More
