Delicately potted with slightly rounded sides rising from footed base toward flaring opening, of a simply deep vessel, straight opening, curved side, raised on slightly foot base. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white underglaze base color which contrast against the DouCai design color. The main body decorated with snarling dragon careening through cumulus clouds, flames and vapors, above thrashing Li-Shui waves in a cobalt blue color dragon squama chasing flaming pearl amidst flames against scrolling clouds diaper rounded the center medallion, enclosed with blue single ring lines on the upper mouth and foot base rim. Dragon is the symbol of the Emperor, the Son of Heaven, eternity, Yang and Yin, male vigor and fecundity. The color is balanced, elegant and exquisite.
