A BELGIAN ORMOLU SCULPTURE OF DIANA OF GABII AFTER PRAXITELES (GREEK 395-330 BCE), BRUSSELS, LATE 19TH CENTURY modelled after the marble statue attributed to Praxitelis now at the Louvre, stamped with foundry mark COMPAGNIE ANONYME BRUXELLES and REDUCTION SAUVAGE; height including base: 63 cm (24 3/4 in.), weight: 14.3 kg (31.53 lbs) CONDITION The sculpture is in overall very good original condition. Beyond some darkening to the crevices, as apparent in photographs, no issues visible to the naked eye. N.B. All lots are sold in as-is condition at the time of sale.
