和阗白玉质地，玉质极佳，温润细腻，受沁带灰皮。钩首呈龙首状，虾米眼突出，尖鼻阔口，双颌微启，头生双角贴于颈部，脑后生鬣威严赫赫。龙身雕琢成弧曲的板状钩身，其下有突起的圆钮。其上镂雕一只小螭龙，屈身灵动，匍匐与大龙相对，四足凌空，神采奕奕。整器威严之中亦有脉脉温情，十分动人。螭为龙生九子之一，此题材即为“苍龙教子”。此件带钩精料精工，寓意吉祥，可谓明代玉龙钩之上品佳作，值得珍藏。
