He loves painting and learns how to paint by himself. He was a member of China Artists Association, adviser of China Comic Strip Academy, head of Beijing Oriental Calligraphy and Painting Studies Society, director of Beijing Chinese Painting Academy. Masterpieces include Chang E Flying to the Moon, Goddess Luoshen and Heroine. 金协中 1898年生于北京。字和父，又作和甫、赫斧，号双藤居士、双藤馆主。是著名画家徐燕荪的入室弟子，曾任教於中央民族大学美术系。也是京津画派的代表人物，与王叔晖、任率英等组成影响巨大的北方工笔画派。 Jin Xiezhong, style name Hefu, was a student of Xu Yansun.
