Count Joseph Lagrange, (1763-1836) French general of the Revolution and the Empire, contributes in 1806 to the success of the Prussian campaign under the orders of Marshal Mortier against the troops of the “l’Electeur de Hesse-Cassel”, La Hesse of which he becomes Governor General.
