A large pedestal trophy / presentation bowl with hammered decoration, twin lion masks and ring handles, with military inscription: Major Paton, Roxburghshire, 4th The Kings Own, Served at Inkerman and Sebastopol (severely wounded) Medal with two clasps. Knight of the Legion of Honour. Turkish & Indian Mutiny Medals. Colonel. Border Rifle Volunteers. Hallmarked London 1912 maker Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co ltd. The bowl 9 1/4" diameter x approx 5 1/2" high, on an ebonised soccle approx 3" high. (Approx 1052kg). Please Note - we do not make reference to the condition of lots within descriptions.
