宋 吉州窯雙鳳梅花紋碗 Conical form bowl, interior glazed overall in light autumn brown, with a pair of dark brown 'papercut' phoenix and three prunus flowers patterns. Exterior glazed in dark brown. Southern Song dynasty (1127–1279). Dia. 11.5cm (4 1/2 in.) H. 5.5cm (2 1/4 in.) Provenance: Orientique, Hong Kong, 1996. Together with Lot 1074 & 1075, this item form part of an important collection amassed by husband and wife Canadian professionals between 1994-2000 while living in Hong Kong, Japan and other locales and traveling in China, Japan and Taiwan. Some highlight pieces were acquired from Dr Patrick Wang, owner of Orientique (Hong Kong), a well-respected boutique specializing in Chinese antiques and works of art. The collectors had good eyes and studied Chinese pottery and porcelain assiduously and made some interesting authentic acquisitions for their collection that we are pleased to be able to present today.
