｜Northern central India. 10th c.｜Buff sandstone. Standing in elegant contrapposto between two columns. He wears a thin hip cloth and his legs, arms and head are adorned with strings of pearls. With his hands he holds a bowl of candy, a lotus and a weapon. His fourth hand, which was opened for blessing the people, is missing today and behind is leaning his ax.
