A Masahiro wakizashi in mounts Edo period (1615-1868), circa 1700 Honzukuri, iorimune, chu-gissaki, toriizori forged in itame hada and with a suguha tempered edge turning to ko-gunome toward the hamachi, both sides carved with bohi, the suriage tang with sujikai file marks and one hole, signed Omi no kami Hojoji Tachibana Masahiro, with a one-piece copper habaki, 20 1/4in (51.4cm) long The koshirae with a green and red mottled lacquer saya and a tsuka wrapped in light brown silk over same and fitted with iron tsuchimeji fuchi-gashira and copper shishi menuki, and a shinchu tsuba formed as a chrysanthemum, partially pierce carved and finished in gold nunomezogan
