錞于是古代一种铜制乐器，形如圆筒，上部比下部稍大，顶上钮。钮多作虎形，故常有“虎钮錞于”之称。此虎钮錞于腔体较高，盘口外侈，鼓肩，自肩向下急收，腰部呈筒状，底为平口，盘口素面，口沿饰虎钮，昂首倨牙，长尾斜垂，尾端向上卷曲，虎身有简易纹饰。参阅：《1913纽约恭亲王收藏专场拍卖图录》，344
