A rhinoceros horn libation cup, early Qing dynasty, of tapering form with slightly flared rim, raised on short tripod feet, incised signature of Rui Zhi to underside, height 8.9cm. Note: see plate 147, page 135 of 'The Art of Rhinoceros Horn Carving in China' by Jan Chapman for illustration of similar signature. Also note: as this lot incorporates rhinoceros horn, it would be very unlikely that a re-export certificate would be granted beyond the EU. Customers outside the EU are requested NOT to bid on this item. Buyer’s Premium 29.4% (including VAT @ 20%) of the hammer price. Lots purchased online via the-saleroom.com will attract an additional charge of 6% (including VAT @ 20%) of the hammer price.
