A SMALL JAPANESE LACQUER CABINET (SHODANA). 19th/20th Century. Comprising symmetrically arranged cupboards, shelves, and drawers of different sizes with hinged doors. The hinged front opens to reveal further display shelves, drawers and cupboards. The sides and back decorated with karakusa and a butterfly- mon against a nashiji ground, the doors and panels are painted with landscapes in hiramakie , iro-e, kirikane on a gold lacquer ground, 60 x 38 x 29cm.
