The Medicine Buddha is also known as the Great Doctor King Buddha. According to the Book of Medicine, he has issued twelve great vows to heal all living beings, eliminate disasters and prolong life, so this statue is often enshrined in the medical hall of Tibetan Buddhist monasteries. The forehead of this statue is broad, and the blue snails are closely arranged. Eyebrows such as the beginning of the moon, eyes slightly convergence, quiet, and compassionate. He was wearing a cassock, bare the right shoulder, with a strong chest and arm. The left-hand knots the meditation seal to beg on the abdomen, the right hand applies the wish seal, and the vajra sits in the lotus seat. The statue is gilt and barefoot, with a vigorous and peaceful posture, and unique charm.
藥師佛又稱為大醫王佛,據《藥師經》說,他曾發十二大願,為眾生醫治病苦,消災延壽,所以在藏傳佛教寺院的醫學殿內也常供奉此像。此尊額際寬廣,碇藍螺髪排列緊密。眉如初月,雙目微斂,靜穆慈悲。身著袒右通肩袈裟, 袒右肩,胸臂健碩。左手結禪定印托鉢於腹前,右手施與願印,金剛坐於束腰式仰覆蓮花座。造像鎏金赤足,姿態瑞氣祥和,獨具魅力。
