CRYSTALLIZED ARIES HEAD

This skull was found about twenty years ago in a mine near a salt lake in Queensland. Over the course of more than a century, the proximity of an environment rich in minerals favored the natural formation of a crystalline surface of selenite. The word "selenite" derives from the ancient Greek σελήνη (selene) which means Moon. It is one of the most common minerals on Earth, recently discovered also on Mars. Some shamans used this stone, which was believed to give off a mystical light, to celebrate various healing rituals. This type of crystalline formation represents a rare and wonderful phenomenon. 60 X 31 X 20 cm.
