此刀为21兵工厂所制，其前身为南京金陵兵工厂，后迁至重庆，是抗日战争时期大后方最大的枪械兵工厂，刺刀护手上的“万”字标即为21兵工厂标记。此刀较普通中正式步枪刺刀更长，旨在为士兵取得肉搏战时的武器优势。刀身锻造精细，开有血槽。护手上安装有枪口挂环，一侧为“万”字标，另一侧为生产序列号“1788”。刀柄为一体式，安装木制贴片，柄首有步枪刺刀座卡榫及导轨。刀鞘为钢制。全长57厘米。
