因为随着盔甲技术的发展，一般的远程武器已经很难再对骑士构成威胁，这时盾牌就可以做的更小，只以保护上半身的重要部位为目的。在15世纪后期伴随着板甲的出现，盾牌基本退出了战场，转变为欧洲骑士的身份象征，而被悬挂装饰在厅堂之中。此盾通体为铁制，中心浮雕造型为骑士冲锋场景，人物的须发、肌肉、表情清晰可见，主体之间的互动及转承充满动态之美，而四周饰有浮雕人物造型纹饰滚边，保存相当完好。全长65厘米。
