盖拟取荷叶之状，曲线起伏平缓，给人以流动的韵律感，盖顶隆起，覆钟形钮，可爱圆润。罐直口，圆腹，圈足，足圈底部与子母口衔接处皆无釉露胎。腹部及盖顶釉下暗刻牡丹花卉纹，釉色透明，柔和淡雅，肥厚莹润，光洁素雅，有玻璃质感，如玉透润。整器造型稳重大方，浑厚古朴而又不失秀媚。荷叶盖罐为中国瓷器之名品，因器盖作成覆荷叶状而得名，其器型始见于南宋龙泉窑，至元代较为盛行，因其浑圆庄重的整体风格象征着元代在政治上“统一四方”的豪迈气概。
