Late Qing Dynasty Carved with a fisherman in a sampan amongst swirling waters, before riverbanks strewn with rocks, willow, bamboo and paulownia trees, the reverse with a three-line inscription 其於古之，乃為相臣 (Qi yu gu zhi, nai wei xiang chen) and signed 朱之友 (Zhuzhiyou), rosewood mounts. 14.5cm (5.3/4in) high.
