An early 20thC Indian ceremonial freedom casket, of rectangular form with tiger knop, profusely decorated with scrolls and flowers on a shaped base terminating in elongated orb feet with a front scroll apron, with a plain velvet lined interior marked to the centre, presented to HE Sir Malcolm Hailey Governor of the Punjab KT KC SI QIE by the company of Rawalpindi on 4th October 1924, unmarked Indian white metal, 24cm high, 35cm wide, 20cm deep.
