A 'Draped Nude' mascot in opalescent glass by Lucile Sevin for Etling, French, introduced 1932, moulded 'Etling France 50' to edge of base, depicting a graceful female nude holding her dress out, 20.5cm high. Footnotes: It is reported that this mascot was created in tribute to the acclaimed American dancer Isadora Duncan (c1877-1927), who performed throughout Europe, and who was tragically killed in an extremely unfortunate motoring incident in Nice, on 14th September, 1927.
