Ca 1900 Chromolithograph on tin. Image of young woman serving a tray with hot chocolate, A Registered Trademark. Image is after a painting by French artist Jean-Etienne Liotard painted in 1745. The owner of the Walter Baker Co. he ownerof the Walter Baker Co (Henry Pierce) was so taken by the painting and in 1862 that he obtained a copyright to use the image for his chocolate company in Dorchester Mass. Original brass plaque "La Belle Chocolatiere, Walter Baker & Co.Limited. Image 23 inches x 17 inches, gilt frame. Good condition. some loss to frame.
