Champa, 10th-12th century. The bowl finely executed in repoussé with the sides showing phoenixes with long, sinuously coiled and intertwined bodies, a small cloud above each phoenix’ head, framed by floral, foliate and geometric borders, the flat circular base left unhammered. Provenance: Ex-Collection of The Zelnik István Southeast Asian Gold Museum. Institutional art collection in Belgium, acquired from the above. Condition: Very good condition with minor traces of age and wear.
