A Roman marble sarcophagus lid fragment with Endymion Circa early 3rd Century A.D. Carved in relief with four arcades, one containing Endymion, the youthful male sleeping in his typical pose, his right arm raised, hand behind his head, reclining beneath an overhanging tree, wearing an exomis and holding a pedum (shepherd's crook), flanked by two couchant horses, a further arcade with standing figures, possibly Hypnos and Eros, 60cm x 13.5cm
