Each painted by Jakob Helchis in Schwarzlot, the first with a landscape scene depicting a standing figure with two horses by two broken columns on a plinth and a dog in the foreground, the second with two horses and a dog drinking from a fountain with a figure at the rear, signed 'J.H.', the rims with gilt and Schwarzlot strap and scrollwork borders, the reverse of each with three foliate strapwork motifs, 41.6cm and 41.8cm across, applied paper inventory labels with printed numbers 1495 and 1496 and numbered in ink 1 and 2 and 290 and 291 (one with small flat chip to rim at 9 o'clock and small burn mark to border, the second with small flat chip at 5.30 o'clock (visible on both sides), scattered wear to scenes overall) (2)
