此尊自在观音坐像以整段花梨木雕制，包浆温润，色泽沉穆。观音呈自在相坐于蒲团之上，屈右腿，双手环抱右膝。发挽高髻，简洁素雅，发丝纤细入微，分毫不乱。面庞丰润，垂目、直鼻、小口、法相肃穆。衣纹以深刀雕刻，寥寥数刀，见出天衣之轻柔飘逸。此尊观音坐像最为动人之处在于整体气象的静穆高贵，毫无匠气，可谓妙品。 来源：苏富比1998年
