象在中国传统文化中是吉祥和美好的象征，其力大魁伟，令百兽畏惧，却是性情柔顺，与人为善，自古被奉为瑞兽。南宋诗人陆游有“太平有象无人识，南陌东阡捣辄香”诗句，以颂扬天下太平久安，家家五谷丰登的国泰民安景象，亦有“国有象则天下太平，家有象则吉祥如意”的信奉。 此象玉质极佳，白皙凝脂，浑厚醇熟。雕象站立式，垂首鼻下卷，双耳如扇紧贴身躯。背负象毯，刻有锦地纹，彰显华贵。中间钻一天地孔，用于穿绳佩挂。 来源：北京文物公司旧藏 注：52g
