A LARGE CHINESE EMBROIDERED SILK 'LANDSCAPE' PANEL. Qing Dynasty. The portrait panel of a mountain landscape, the mountains to upper section of panel emerging from stylised clouds, the lower section with scenes of figures in a landscape of buildings and bridges, mounted in a glazed gilt slip with a teal mount, 205 x 82cm. Provenance: Purchased by the current owner's great grandfather, Andreas Hansen Erikse (1868-1953), in Beijing (Peking) circa 1905. Andreas Hansen Erikse was stationed in Shanghai and Beijing between 1901 and 1927. A copy of a period photograph, circa 1920, of the panel mounted on the wall in his apartment accompanies the lot. 清 山水圖紋刺繡掛屏 來源:現藏家祖父安德烈亞斯·漢森·埃里克塞(1868-1953)於1905年前後購於北京,其於1901 - 1927年間曾常駐於北京及上海。此拍品另附包含一張拍攝於1920年的照片一張,這件繡品可見於其中。
