ATTIC RED-FIGURE KYLIX Attribuited to the Tarquinia Painter, ca. 470 - 460 BC height cm 10; diam. cm 26 Into the inner tondo, inscribed in a continuos meander, a draped young is turn to a seated one. On the external surface, a sequence of conversation scenes between handcuffed youngs; among them, staffs and shields are suspended. Under the handles, specularly arranged, two palmettes. Restored with minor reconstructions. Provenance: From the collection of a Belgian gentlewoman since 1970s (old family photos that show it).
