with carved dragon pediment and floral and fruit panel to the base, on splay legs with ball and claw feet 200 x 95cm Footnote: The present lot was acquired by Lady MacDonald whilst she was in China and Japan during a turbulent time between 1893 and 1912. Her husband, Sir Claude MacDonald, was in post as the representative of the British Government, firstly in China and then in Japan from 1900. The mirror has remained in the family since her death in 1945. Condition report: joints loose, a carved panel above the leg missing to the reverse
