Comparison can also be made regarding the ornamental clasp fastening the cope at the chest and the way the pleats of the figure's long robes break on the ground. Features such as this place the sculptures within the tradition of 15th century Burgundian carving, following the style of Antoine Le Moiturier (c.1425 - after 1495). The Chinese Buddhist statuary and associated collection was acquired by C Roger Moss OBE in Hong Kong during the period 1980 to 2003. All items were officially exported from Hong Kong by shippers and handlers recommended and approved by the Mass Transit Railway Corporation of Hong Kong on 10th May 2003, with full documentation.
