A Village market with cattle sellers oil on panel 25 x 31cm Condition report: Oil on panel, formed from a single board with the woodgrain running horizontally. The paint layer appears to be in a good condition overall. There is a small area at the centre of the painting where the edges of the age cracks are slightly raised, but overall the painting is stable. The picture has been partially cleaned, remnants of old varnish remain in the darker paint passages and within the texture of the brushstrokes. The appearance is good, the varnish is semi-matte and even. The frame is in a good condition. Believed to be 18th Century
