Measurements 59 x 46 cm, frame 75 x 62.5 cm Provenance: sold in the Edwinsford House sale near LLansawell lot 496, purchased by the vendor from Agnews in the 1970s Condition report: This painting is an oil on canvas which has been backed with panel. The paint surface has some craquelure to the upper corners, appears overall stable. The canvas appears to be in good condition with no obvious evidence for holes, rips or tears. Not examined outside of the frame. There is overpainting to the paint surface, primarily around the face of the sitter.
