A Wedgwood Carrera parian group of Charity designed by A. Carrier de Belleuse circa 1859, titled to the base and with artist's facsimile signature, impressed 'WEDGWOOD', 36.5cm high Condition report: Charity is cracked across her nose, there is also a hairline crack descending downward through her middle torso and one through the lowest flowing section of her cloak. Elsewhere, there several cracks running right through the underside of the base and some further minor cracks to the sides. One child has a re-built arm and hand, the other has a re-built foot. Charity also has a restored foot and there is probably further restoration to the reverse of her cloak. Please see additional images - this restoration is quite sympathetic. There is some minor damage to the edges of the pages of the book. There are several scuffmarks, would benefit from cleaning.
