A late 17th/early 18th century quadruple panelled coffer The two plank top above four plain panels and two side panels on each side, on extended stiles. 139cm wide x 64cm deep x 66cm high Condition report: Later strap hinges and lock. Top with one plank split the entire length and the other badly frassed on the front of the left side (especially the corner) and the left side itself. The top recently re-enforced on the underside along join and break. Later bearers on either side of top, with consequent nail heads and dowels visible. Back stiles damaged/frassed. Chips, dents and scratches consistent with age and use.
