When WWII started, Jullias worked at the Charleston Navy Yard helping build ships to protect our country and the world. They moved to Charleston, one of America oldest city with many historical building and antiques. Start from here, Jullias love to collect porcelains and many other antiques, and many year later they came back to Marietta, Georgia. Chinese Qing Dynasty period, pine tree over sky blue glaze meiping jar. The porcelain shaped into a traditional Meiping form, large, thick and tall potted, wide body on shoulder, slender neck easing to form narrow opening, with emerging slight flaring ring mouth rim, raised on round foot base, with slight concave. The exterior decorated with hand-painting in clean white under glazed base color which contrast against the sky blue fine color. Depicted of sturdy pine tree with dense leaves. Pine tree is one of the Three Friends of Winter, together with bamboo and the Prunus-tree. Symbol of longevity and prosperity, for it is an evergreen tree. It is also the symbol of friends being faithful in adversity. The glaze is seamless and gives off a beautiful luster, with the colors maintaining excellent vibrancy. Mark on base, a six under glazed blue seal script characters reign mark, Made in The Years of QianLong Reign Period of Great Qing Dynasty.
