With simply gently rounded side emerging steeply to a slightly everted rim, raised on the concave footed ring base. Double fine blue rings lines on the upper mouth rim and the foot base rim. The exterior hand-painted in clean white under glazed base ground and cobalt-blue color depicted three various flower blooms, called Three Friend of winter, interspersed with vines and foliage. The lower body decorated with auspicious pattern and geometric motif. The Three Friends of Winter, also known as Suihan Sanyou, Saikan Sanyu or Sehansam-u, is an art motif that comprises the pine, bamboo, and plum. The Chinese observed that the pine, bamboo and plum do not wither as the cold days deepen into the winter season unlike many other plants. Known by them as the Three Friends of Winter, they entered the conventions of East Asian culture. Together they symbolize steadfastness, perseverance, and resilience. They are highly regarded in Confucianism and as such represent the scholar-gentleman's ideal. The Three Friends of Winter are common in works of Chinese art and those cultures influenced by it. A characteristic heaped and piled effect, the underglaze grayish-blue concentrates in certain areas, bubbling through the surface of the glaze and turning a deep blue-black. This inadvertently gave texture, energy, and shading to the design. The shape is uniformly proportioned. The under-base bears a reign mark, a vertical six underglaze blue script characters reign mark, enclosed within double fine rings, Made in The Years of Yongzheng Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
