叶小舫（1919-2003）浙江长兴人，早年曾就读上海新华艺专，师从顾坤伯。1948年考入杭州西湖国立艺专，曾获黄宾虹、潘天寿、吴茀之、诸乐三、潘韵的指授。沧桑巨变归故里，嗜画如命得真禅，山水、花鸟、人物无所不能，具宾师浑厚华滋的笔墨神韵，独创草书意笔写芦雁，尽得前人未尽之意趣。南京艺术学院花鸟画史论家孔六庆教授，欣然命笔为画集作序，以大美术的宏观视野，理性地分析和阐明了叶氏画艺的学术价值。成为美术界首位推崇叶小舫画艺的学者。
