Mid to late Qing dynasty Including a pair of black ground gauze badges each embroidered with a silver pheasant corresponding to the fifth civil rank, now stitched together with knotted silk tassels; a pair of dark blue ground silk badges, one framed and glazed, each finely embroidered in Peking knot stitches with the ninth civil rank symbol of oriole; a pair of the fourth rank military badges, each decorated with an applied tiger; the last a single badge for the back of a robe with an applied egret, corresponding to the sixth civil rank. 11 1/4 x 12in (28.6 x 30cm) dimensions of the first pair (7).
