Japanese Early 19 C Complex Traveling Shrine (Zushi) with gilt bronze rings to back top edge for hanging, with a pair of hinged double folding doors with gilt bronze hardware to the wide front side; inside with 7 detailed figures forming a Mandala of the Amida Triad, in the middle Amida Nyorai on a lotus base, flanked by Kannon and Seishi bosatsu seated on lotus thrones over rocks on a horizontal platform, in front In the front stand Jizo bosatsu and Fudo Myoo; unusually attached to the doors on the left one of the four guardian kings, probably Komokuten, on the right possibly Uhodoji. Height 9 1/4 inches (23.9 cm.) X width 11 5/16 inches (29.1 cm.) X depth 4 9/16 inches (11.8 cm.).
