A fine carved wood Kohl container, most likely from Morocco or Ethiopia. The body is 2-5/8" high, 1-1/2" wide and is carved from finely grained hardwood. It's decorated with incised designs executed in linear patterns. Both stopper and applicator are nicely turned and match. In excellent condition, with a rich patina developed from long usage. Collected in the 1950's, museum deaccession. (AF320)
