Two RAF pilot's Mk3C flying helmets, stores reference 22C/1303173, fitted with mask hook and straps, reflective tape to the rear of crown, complete with both visors, one marked 'Barnfield IX.33', with Denis Ferranti LTD electrical headsets (2)
Issued throughout the 1970s and 80s, these are one of the most popular RAF bone domes.
Condition report: Helmet 1 - Inner visor heavily scratched and scuffed, some slight nicks to edges. Exterior visor also scratched and scuffed. The dome seems intact but with crazing, scuffing and scratching to the paintwork. Foam lining is shedding heavily.
2nd helmet (Barnfield) - Scratches and scuffs all over the dome, interior purple lining partially ripped, foam lining heavily shedding, inner visor generally good order although the exterior visor is scuffed and scratched. Visor cover has a big rip.
