He went to Japan later to study from Fujishima Takeji at Kawabata Painting School. He used to be the professor of Shanghai Art School, consultant of China Artists Association, council member of China Calligraphers Association, etc. His works such as Landscape, Bamboo and Rock are exhibited in the National Art Exhibition many times and housed by many museums and galleries at home and abroad.
