A jade double gourd vase and cover each lobe of flattened ovoid form, surmounted by a tapering cover, with two phoenix shaped handles with loose rings on either side, and supported on a short foot, each lobe carved on both sides with a lotus blossom issuing from a foliate scroll, inscribed with "da ji" meaning good fortune.
