Monumental, 19th century. With Cardineaux a Paris clock dial. Clock is flanked by seated patinated bronze classical figures reading or writing, and decorated with ormolu details, including a gilded eagle on top of the clock. Mounted on a white marble base with a central mask, two winged putti, and scrolls, atop gilded feet. Movement does not appear to be marked. H. 51.5 cm (20 1/4 in.) W. 68.5 cm (27 in.)
